# Full Context: Collabase, the Swiss collaboration platform ## What is Collabase? Collabase unifies documentation, projects, intranet, asset registry, test management, automation and time tracking in one product. It runs as a dedicated instance in a Swiss data centre or entirely on your own infrastructure. ### Vendor and origin Collabase is a product of **Infometis AG**, based in **Zurich**. Since **1998** Infometis has advised Swiss banks, insurers and public administrations on collaboration across Atlassian, Microsoft and other platforms. In those **27 years** we have seen where collaboration platforms fail in regulated environments: **licence models, data leaving the country, and marketplaces nobody controls.** Collabase is the answer we built ourselves out of that experience — which is why it has one licence covering every app, keeps data under Swiss jurisdiction, and has no marketplace. ### 100 % Swiss Made, based in Zurich Collabase is built in Zurich, operated in Switzerland and made by people who grab a coffee by the lake between two meetings. **No offshore development, no follow-the-sun support across five time zones. When you call, someone in Zurich picks up.** This is not only a matter of taste: it is the reason the company can promise an answer within 24 hours from a named person rather than from a ticket queue. ### Licensing model Collabase is **proprietary software**. There is no open-source, open-core, fair-code or community edition, and no free tier. The Intellectual Property and all code origins belong exclusively to Brian Trepto, its original creator. ## The seven apps All seven are included in every licence. There is no per-app pricing. - **Docs** — the wiki for team knowledge, with version history and export to PDF, DOCX and Markdown - **Projects** — agile project management for product and engineering teams, with cycles and releases - **Intranet** — the internal home page of the organisation, with news and a people directory - **Registry** — asset and infrastructure management for IT teams, with custom fields per registry - **Test Management** — quality assurance in the same space, with test cases and runs attached to the task - **Automation** — workflows without code, triggered by events from any app - **Time** — time tracking and billing, directly on tasks and projects The **Space** is the bracket around them: one department, one customer or one project. Documents, tasks, test cases and automations sit side by side inside it, not in separate tools. ## One product, one vendor Collabase is a closed product. One contract, one point of contact, one roadmap. **No marketplace, no third-party plugins, no shared responsibility in operations.** This is a deliberate position, not a missing feature. ## What each role gets - **Product and project management:** cycles, releases, story points and roadmaps in the same space as the documentation. - **Test management and QA:** test cases and runs hang directly off the story. A bug found in a run becomes a task in the same cycle. - **Documentation and knowledge:** pages in a tree, a verified marker for reviewed content, export to open formats. - **Automation:** workflows without code, from a status change to a deployment. ## Pricing - **On request.** Prices are not published on the website. Licences are staged by user count; cloud is billed per user and month, self-hosted per tier and year. The figure comes with the quote, once scope and operating model are clear. - **Everything included.** All seven apps and all integrations are part of every licence. Billing is annual in CHF, with no setup fee. - **Proof of concept before the licence.** A scoped instance running on your own content, not a demo database, set up within days. Scope and duration are agreed beforehand, migration support is included. Updates, backups and security are handled by Collabase. - **Self-hosted:** on your own hardware, Docker or Kubernetes, including networks without internet access. - Both models deliver the same functionality, and in both the data stays in Switzerland. - Content is subject to **Swiss law rather than the US Cloud Act**. Processing meets the requirements of the **nFADP** and the **GDPR**. - **AI:** Collabase AI runs a local model via **Ollama** by default — not a single byte leaves the network. OpenAI, Anthropic or Gemini are optional and enabled per space. ## Fits an existing landscape Docker or Kubernetes. Sign-in via OIDC, LDAP or SAML. PostgreSQL as the data store. REST API, webhooks and an MCP server for automations and AI agents. 38 integrations, from Jira and GitHub to Bexio and Abacus. ## Migration Atlassian is discontinuing Jira Data Center on 28 March 2029. The importer takes over pages, attachments and the page hierarchy from Confluence exports as well as from Notion and Markdown; Jira projects, tickets and links move into Collabase Projects. Both systems run side by side until the content is right. Exit is equally open: data sits in PostgreSQL and can be exported as JSON at any time. ## Quick Links - **Website:** https://collabase.ch - **Request a proof of concept:** https://collabase.ch/anfrage - **Pricing model:** https://collabase.ch/pricing - **Download:** https://collabase.ch/download - **Developer docs:** https://docs.collabase.ch
